WEEKLY SERVICES TAKE PLACE:

Our services are open to EVERYBODY and they are FREE OF CHARGE.
During services we collect offerings but they are VOLUNTARY offerings which concern only the people who understand the purpose of giving, are convinced of what they do and want to do it.
During services we have both Sunday school classes for children and classes for teenagers called Jesus team. Parents with babies under 3 years of age can be in a nursery where babies can play while parents can watch the service on TV.
BY WORD OF MOUTH
What does the church mean to me?
AGNESE - The church is a true, non-artificial family, people whose goal and desire is to build up each other. In church I am together with people who believe and who have a vision for their life and what they want to accomplish. Strong people we can learn from.
DACE - It is a place where someone will always stand with me, pray for me, and help me in hard times. A place where I can grow, put my heart into, and learn how to do good to others without asking them to do something back. A place where God's love dwells. A place where people try to make the world better.
ULDIS - It is where I charge my batteries and receive the energy for the coming week. Every time I cannot come to church I feel like I have missed a meal.
Church services strengthen and help me rise up, stand, overcome, change myself, and seek God.
Why do I come to church meetings? It is the best thing that has happened in my life! I do not come to "warm the bench" but to receive strength, encouragement and to develop personal relationship with God.
KETIJA - Most of all it is the place where I can meet God. I cannot live without it. I have to be in church. I know it because I have lived without church, too.
VALERIJS - Church meeting is something special. It is like when a chief of an army calls together the troops before going out on the battlefield and speaks to all people together and to everyone individually at the same time. In the same way God speaks to all of us in church and still He speaks to every one of us personally about the specific situations our lives.
ZELTITE - Church is like a home where I can always return. In church I am in fellowship and cooperation with God Himself and His family! I am part of God's family and I want to fit into it completely.
VALTERS - It is an immeasurable blessing to the country. Jesus called His church the salt of the Earth and the light of the world. While there is church on this Earth that loves God and intercedes for people, God will bless and protect the Earth from the evil it has deserved.
NORMUNDS - Church is like a protection wall against the forces of hell. God works through church and listens to its prayers. Only the church is directly subordinate to the highest spiritual institution - the Holy Trinity. Only the church has the access to the greatest power available in this world - the prayer of faith which releases God's will and the ministry of angels. God has promised to listen to the prayers of His church, to use and protect it, and to take it home.
AIGARS - Church belongs to God. Its author and creator is God. The head (boss) of the church is Christ. The constitution, laws, and requirements of the church are written in the Word of God.
The word 'service' comes from the Greek word 'leitourgia' which means "Christian event related to a public ministry". So we could define church service like this - "public ministry of Christian people to their God". Or would be more proper to say that it is "time when God publicly ministers to His people"?
I think both are right. However, more emphasis should be put on God ministering to us. Because church service is a time when God Himself - the Only, Mighty, Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent Creator of Heaven and Earth is through Christ ministering to us by His Holy Spirit! When we praise and worship Him and listen to His Word, God comes to us and actually gives us Himself - His power and presence. And we are the ones who receive from Him. What do we receive? Life and abundance of life. Forgiveness of sins, strength, peace, joy, wisdom, and the ability to live in His victory. Therefore every meeting is a miracle. Use this opportunity!
