Our God is a mighty and loving Father who answers prayers, protects, saves, and heals us. One of the greatest Biblical truths is written in Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and for ever.” Jesus is the same! He still changes the life of everyone who trusts in Him. However, in order to receive this we need to know His promises, His ways, and His will. It’s not hard to learn this – God has revealed His will in the Bible.
The Word of God has unique power. It not only teaches how to live right, but also gives strength to do it. The revelation of God’s Word sets us free from fears, insecurity, builds self-confidence, gives courage, and motivates to take action. ”But the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32).
Therefore the Christian church “Prieka Vests” from the beginning has been known for its extensive educational programs and events – conferences, seminars, schools, broadcast series, workshops, and courses and studies for groups of different age and interests. Our purpose is to help people build themselves and their lives so that they could live in accordance with God’s will.
Seminars
With every year the work of the church is expanding and new needs appear for training and seminars on various themes.
Seminars for home group leaders, men, women, businesspersons, pensioners, youth, singles, praise and worship group, Word teachers, foster families and parents – the list becomes longer and more varied, offering extensive opportunities to become more efficient and fruitful in our own life, service, family, and work.
Teachers
Ministers who teach the basic Bible truths in the church have received the call from God and specific God-given gifts. Besides that all teachers have had long-time personal experience in relationship with God. They don’t base their teachings on new, exciting “revelations” or feelings, but they hold to the lasting foundation – the Word of God, teaching spiritual principles the truth and effectiveness of which they have experienced for many years. In overall all ministers are serious students of theology and they have at least one diploma of higher education. The church ministers are characterized by the desire to develop in spiritual and professional growth on an ongoing basis.
