Trust your own people!
Raimonds Timma is one of those men we have gone through both joys and accomplishments and dead ends and tough times together with. After some time it seems such men have become part of your own life. It has been an honor for me to be close to Raimonds and see his actions in “good times” and how he has gone through hard times, as well. Since he met God he has served Him with all of his heart and great humility.
The first thing that comes to my mind regarding Raimonds is his constant optimism, friendliness, helpfulness, and strong love for his family – how he loves and is proud of his wife and encourages and supports his children. But most of all he loves God and tries to understand, hear, and obey Him.
However, there is one more thing that is characteristic of Raimonds and that I have observed through the years – it is his concern and burden for the economic, social, and spiritual prosperity of our country. The whole team of entrepreneurs knows his heated discussions, speeches, and prayers for the problems of our country from the perspective of a Christian, father, and entrepreneur. He has tirelessly tried to convince people to enter this thankless and risky arena which is called the politics.
Raimonds already has had the political experience and I always had this feeling that he has this passion for his country due to God’s calling in his life and that in the proper time it will become alive again. My friends, it seems this is the time. Our brother and friend Raimonds Timma who has been with us for almost 10 years is returning in politics. He will do it because he „is sent” (Judges 6:14)!
Therefore I invite you, my dear friend, to support him and may God give him strength and help him do something for the good of our country!

Hello, Friend!
I do not intend to become familiar but this is exactly how I want to address you. I believe friendship and unity are the values that have a primary role in this time. History has proven that when people join their efforts they can find a way out and a solution in any problem and trial. The question is – what is the best way to do this? How to act in the wisest way? And how to understand which is the right solution?
I want to tell you a Biblical story that took place nearly 2000 years ago. I find some similarities in that Biblical event and the current situation in Latvia and a useful lesson what we should do, as well. In Acts 27 we read about a terrible storm that overtook the ship with the imprisoned apostle Paul aboard. He had previously warned the captain of the ship of the coming storm and danger that would threaten the lives of everyone on the ship but no one listened to Paul. The storm came. It was a powerful and lasting storm that discouraged even the most experienced sailors from reaching the shore. The time came when the crew started throwing even the food over the board. But – as we read this story till the end we see that in the most depressing moment Paul could find the words of encouragement with his convincing attitude and raise new hope in the crew to overcome all hardships.
As I read all this I see a certain similarity with the current crisis and a testimony of what needs to be done in situations which seem to be out of our control. Yes, there is a storm and a ship that loses its manoeuvrability in the powerful waves. The warning of the upcoming danger has been ignored. Now an emergency rescue is needed. Everything gets thrown over the board – overestimated values, past decisions. It is frightening. And even though the ship sinks in the storm all people get to the shore safe and sound. It is possible only because of the united obedience to the right decisions and trust. FAITH, UNITY, ACTION – these are the key words that were vitally important back then and that we cannot do without today, too.
Probably you are wondering how all of this relates to you and the situation you are in. I will be straightforward and say – it does relate to you. I am convinced that today more than ever we must be thinking of saving not just our own small boat but the national size ship. This is not an easy time for our country but I am fully persuaded that with the right attitude and joint efforts we can both overcome the storm and with God’s help develop the future of our country and our children in a wiser and more successful way. Therefore I want to encourage you to determined actions and active civil stand in the coming municipal elections.
As for me personally, I decided to join the coalition of LPP/LC because I can see both capacity with readiness to work and strong convictions and positive attitude that inspires me to go beyond survival and press towards the goal – the growth and development of our country. I ask you to support these efforts!
“…be strong, all you people of the land,’ says the LORD, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ says the LORD of hosts” (Haggai 2:4).
May God’s grace and help be with us all and may the words of our national anthem "God bless Latvia" come true!
Best regards,
Raimonds Timma
