I do not think we have grasped how awesome the gift was the Lord have us on Sunday, November 7 when the world renowned pianist Huntley Brown visited us and ministered in our church.

It all happened in such an unexpected but simple way! After our group “Embassy” had performed in Arena “Riga” at the Festival of Hope on Saturday, November 6, I went up to Huntley Brown and asked him if he would like to visit our church the following morning to which he responded with no hesitation and no questions: “Yes, sure I would like to come to your church.”

His responsiveness surprised me. One must almost think that he had talked with Michael W. Smith and his musicians and already found out something about us. Later he said he had immediately sensed in his spirit that it was God. And in spite of the fact that Huntley was exhausted and had spent several sleepless nights he was in our church on Sunday morning and ministered with such anointing, love, and passion that it completely took our breath away and our hearts were filled with gratitude to God as we were enjoying it. “His piano play shook the earth and then launched our souls into the Heaven,” says pastor Liga Gleske. It was so excellent and, above all, anointed! And at the same time the pianist himself is such a dear and open personality! Every move and smile bore witness to the deep commitment of the legendary musician to God. We are very, very grateful to God for this unexpected meeting with Hid servant!

Even though Huntley Brown was born and raised in Jamaica he currently resides in Chicago (USA). Due to being a father of three daughters and active involvement in different top level projects he is a very busy man, yet he finds time to minister along with Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and Billy Graham.
From the moment he came to our church till the moment we said goodbye, Huntley Brown could not stop expressing his excitement about our church and God's special anointing he had experienced. Even at the hotel he kept saying that he would love to come back to our church and bring some friends along.

Let us believe that this miracle will come to pass again!

When during the Festival of Hope I had the chance to meet the singer and musician whom we all love so much – Michael W. Smith and his musicians they commissioned me to greet the church on their behalf. On Saturday the musicians and their manager said they would love to come to our church meeting on Sunday morning but after their performance in Arena “Riga” on Saturday night they admitted that they still felt too exhausted after the long flight (they had slept only for a few hours) so it would have been wiser to have some rest and get ready for the Saturday night concert in Arena “Riga”.

Believe it or not, both Michael W. Smith and the musicians had very dear memories of their concert at “Prieka Vests” church. They made several references to the time they spent in Latvia in 2009 stressing that it was a special experience and that they had received a very warm welcome, the audience had been very enthusiastic, and the anointing they had felt here had been very special.

I was surprised to meet Stu G – one of the members of the group “Delirious?” who visited us in 2006. This time he was playing with Michael. He also had good memories of the concert in “Prieka Vests”. He said he would like to visit us with his new band.

All musicians who tour along Michael are very open, sincere, and true Christians, family men who show the photos of their families with great love and pride saying that regardless of how far the different projects would take them they always wanted to go home. They attend and minister at their local churches. They all have their own God-given dreams burning in their hearts but whenever it is necessary they unite for common ministry in the world.

As we were saying goodbye last year, Michael's manager said that the concert at our church was the closest to how Michael sees his ministry at its highest point. This makes me realize that his main criteria is not the number of people or income but the manifestation of God's Spirit. Both Michael and his musicians said we could almost certainly expect them to come next year.

They send us sincere greetings!
