The Christian church „Prieka Vests" is a religious organization that is basing its financial operations solely on the voluntary offerings of church members.

It is important to note that tithing and offerings are not an obligatory requirement. Offerings are given freely in accordance with people's conviction, will, and individual understanding which is based on faith in the principles of God's Word.

Offerings are taken only during the official services when people can anonymously or writing their name put their offering in envelopes which are collected in the offering bags.

All offerings are given to the church accountants and they are counted by the commission of accepting offerings. Then the main bookkeeper and the treasurer fill in and sign the cash income order. Since the church is an officially registered organization and it works in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia, the finances are deposited into the church bank account wherefrom all payments are made.

Use of finances takes place by strictly keeping to the budget which is annually drawn by taking into account foreseen objectives and expenses of the church. All financial acts are strictly itemized and when purchases are made we are always looking for the best price for appropriate quality.

Finances are granted only with the permission of the main bookkeeper based on the budget and it is always confirmed with two signatures.

More about the Biblical foundation of the offerings see the subject Finances.
