Israel Minister of Tourism has named eleven peace messengers of Israel among Evangelic Christians.

The president of television company TBN Russia and one of peace messengers Igor Nikitin suggested to Kneset  and Minister of Tourism of Israel Stas Misezhnikov the most distinguished and important Evangelic Christians who promote peace in the Middle East.
“Israel and the Middle East never disappear from the TV screens and newspapers’ headlines. That is why the Holy Scripture reminds us all to pray for peace in Jerusalem. For many centuries long disagreements and conflicts, that is the heritage of people in Middle East, cause the willingness to pray in Christians for this region. For its part Israel prophetic mission reminds us about the soon coming of Messiah,” says Igor Nikitin. “It is very symbolic that the Minister of Tourism has named 12 people as peace messengers. All of them are pronounced servants of evangelic movement. They have visited Israel with TBN and they express their support to this country and are peace messengers everywhere they go,” emphasized the president of TBN.

Among those 12 peace messengers there are such known Christians as Henrij Madava (the Ukraine), Alexander Epp (Germany), Pavel Orehov (Siberia), Vilnis Gleške (Latvia).  There are also some businessmen who have become peace messengers – Vladimir Dunajevskij (Moscow) and Pavel Savenok (USA), and the president of Evangelic Christians Church Association, bishop Aleksandr Semchenko.

One of the main goals of the Christian church „Prieka Vests” is related to God’s people Israel. It can clearly be seen in the prophetic words of vision given to the church when it was born:

Isa 49:6 " It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

Jer 1:9-10 „See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."

 

In its time of ministry the church „Prieka Vests” has done a lot relating to this calling. We used to be the only church in Latvia and Lithuania that was actively speaking to the Jewish people reminding them of their significance in the eyes of God. We staged performances, created musical programs, and learnt songs in Hebrew to show honor to God’s people and remind them that Israel is their country and Jerusalem is the city of their Great King. We conducted seminars with participation of experts from Israel and other countries, as well as donated finances to Israeli repatriation agency and those ministries who are actively supporting the Jewish people, for example, „Operation Jabotinsky”.

 

We have organized these concerts, seminars, and services and translated books and materials in accordance with our vision striving to “uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow” the wrong concepts among Christians in Latvia and the Baltic countries that “God has forsaken His people” and “Israel is no longer God’s people”. We believe that because of our ministry many Christians and churches have gained understanding about these basic truths and love for God’s people.

 

We are convinced that the understanding of truth will become more significant, especially in the turbulent events of the end time. It is very important that Christians and non-Christians of Europe would understand the true history of the Jewish people and their significance in the events of the end time, as well as understand how our attitude will determine the future of ourselves and our countries.

„I will bless those who bless you!” (Genesis 12:3).

 

We believe people in Europe have the right to get to know this information and we see in our vision a significant role in this matter.

For some time this ministry had „calmed down” but now for more than a year we have been actively praying for Israel, its surrounding nations, and Jews in all Diaspora. People from our church cooperate with the organization „Operation Jabotinsky” and participate in helping with the transportation of the repatriates. We have stated translating news from the Holy Land so our fellow countrymen would have access to information about the events in the Middle East that would provide some counterbalance to the biased opinions of the secular mass media that portray Israel as aggressor. We are in the process of translating a book by Dr. Randall Price “Unholy War: America, Israel, and the Radical Islam” that will help our people gain a detailed and unbiased information concerning the complicated processes taking place in the Middle East.

Since our determination and mandate goes beyond the borders of our country we believe God will be able to use to bring blessing to both Europe and the former socialist countries.
