How should I dress when coming to the worship service?

Our church has a casual dress code. The most important thing is that you come, but it's good to consider that your clothing or scent doesn’t distract others from worshiping God.

How long is the worship service?

‍

The worship service lasts approximately two hours.

‍

Can I bring my child with me?

‍

Jesus was always accessible to children, and we also rejoice in every child we can serve. Young families have special seating areas with space for strollers. We also offer a nursery room where the worship service is broadcast. For older children, there are always nice and creative lessons in Sunday School.

Where can I park my car?

‍

We have three spacious parking lots around the building. Parking in these lots is free of charge. When the lots are full, cars are parked on Bērzaunes and Turaidas streets.

Do people of other nationalities attend the church?

‍

Among the attendees of our church, the majority are, of course, Latvians, but people of other nationalities also attend. A great advantage is the always available translation into English and Russian, accessible through a convenient app.

What denomination does “Prieka Vēsts” belong to?

‍

Church “Prieka Vests” can be categorized as a „protestant” church influenced by Reformation. Its services are attended by people from all denominations who believe that there is only one Living God and one Word of God ­- the Bible.

What are small groups?

‍

Small groups are an essential part of our church's daily life. Small groups are places where church members meet in small numbers every two weeks. They discuss the Word, pray for one another, and simply spend time in fellowship. Almost every church member attends a group. If you want to join one, write to us.
